As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing product technical support and application solutions to our distributors, outsides sales force, and customers. You'll be an integral part of our team, and have an opportunity to learn our products and our industry while forming a solid foundation for a long successful; interesting career at Pepperl+Fuchs.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer technical support phone calls, chats, and email inquiries.
  • Assist product managers with projects and trainings.
  • Research information to cross reference parts.
  • Assist with choosing the correct product for an application.
  • Interact professionally on a regular basis with customers and staff.
  • Record customers call and email activities in Siebel (CRM) software.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed

The background you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree required in one of the following disciplines: Engineering- Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology.  Other four year degrees possible as along as there is a background of electrical experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with PLC's or PC programming
  • Ability to work 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Career advancement from this position includes outside sales and field application engineering with a base of operations anywhere in the USA.
